Sara + Jonathan Spring/Summer Wedding 2011

I love the cold, don’t get me wrong though when I say cold that does not include snow! When going through and archiving all my wedding photos from 2011 I came across one of my favorite weddings! A Cancun Mexico destination wedding…sigh. It was an amazing wedding and I wanted to give Sara and Jonathan another post that included their entire wedding collection. When I look back it was such a magical wedding and I may consider doing something this fun for my 10 or 20 year wedding anniversary! Sara and Jonathan are amazing friends of mine and I cherished the opportunity to make Sara and her family feel beautiful.

For the month of February and March my business is diving right into bridal trials for all our spring/summer brides.

As I tell all of them, the sun is different that time of year- brighter and stronger on the skin. Not to mention its warmer! With makeup you have to step it up for that time of the year. Wear extra blush and please wear an amazing color lip!! Spring and Summer are filled with beautiful colors and full of life and wearing your makeup too traditional will translate to “everyday” makeup in your photos. Wear primers on eyes, skin, and lips to help keep your makeup on and most importantly, set it with translucent loose powder to deactivate your foundation. It will keep it on all day, promise! I was so proud of Sara for rocking out that amazing RED LIP! As you can see we kept the eyes simple with champaigne colors, liner and lashes. Her lip translates amazing in the photos because the sun tones the lip intensity down. Always something to keep in mind especially when you are having an outdoor wedding. Well, enjoy these amazing photos from La Luna Photography and remember spring is right around the corner!

Natasha was amazing!! We had a destination wedding in Mexico and she made sure my bridesmaids, mom, and I were picture perfect. During our trial run, she took her time and listened to exactly what I wanted while offering advice and making sure I felt comfortable with the look. The morning of my wedding, I woke up with a huge red rash on my left cheek. She was extremely professional and kept me at ease the entire time we were getting ready. Her experience definitely showed as she kept our make up fresh even in the 90 degree heat and humidity. After she was done, I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day! AND no rash in the pictures! Sara, MD
