Our clients are one of a kind. I truly value their opinions and subtle worries about the one thing I take for granted, putting on makeup. Amanda is such a sweetheart. She is a teacher and doesn’t really have the patience or time factor to put on a ton of makeup. We chatted over coffee in Panera Bread a couple months back and she filled me in on her concerns of not feeling her self for the wedding. I had suggested doing her makeup for her engagement shoot so she could see the results of having a professional makeup artist do her makeup and the result it gives in her photos. She was more then excited about this idea and on a beautiful day in May she called me and said “its here!”.
She was a little nervous but I kept her calm by explaining all the different steps I was doing. She has the most piercing color in her eyes and I wanted to have a little fun and put a bright green eye shadow right in the outer corner, kisses of gold on the lid, and a warm crease. I used the Angelberry foundation mixed with a little tinted moisturizer to give her the feeling like it was nothing more then an everyday moisturizer. Lips we kept pretty easy with just a pretty pink lipstick and gold gloss.
Her hunny was so adorable when he popped his head in to say he was ready to roll and said something along the lines of “wow, I have never seen you with that much makeup, I like it!”. Amanda’s face lit up and it really made my day. A few weeks ago she sent me over a couple highlights from their shoot and I LOVE them! Can’t wait to see them in July of next year for their wedding and so thankful we had a chance to give her a little glam for her engagement shoot. Enjoy!
