Hooray! Yes this is exciting. I wasn’t going to flaunt this around but after reading this bloggers point of view on celebrating milestones I had an extreme change of heart: full article
As women we tend to be so busy working our way through the to-do list that we don’t take the time to stop and celebrate. Then we wonder why we’re so exhausted and feeling unappreciated. Go figure. Do you take time to celebrate milestones and accomplishments? Or, do you just let them pass by with barely a breath before you’re onto the next thing? I discovered [that] my fears of stopping to celebrate would result in settling or lack of motivation to move forward were unfounded. Quite the opposite resulted. I got to enjoy the NOW, feel a heck of a lot better about myself, and build a track record for future success because I was no longer navigating life through the eyes of a slave driver who could never measure up. I could trust in and rely on myself. Whether its a pat on my own back, a Wahoo moment, or a more elaborate reward, it is a regular practice. It builds momentum, confidence, better results, and a lot more joy along the way.

This is Lauren and I when we met in 2006. lol
”MWM is an easy breezy company to work for. Light hearted, fun, but we get it done. Love my fellow artists, we each bring something different to the table. There’s sssooo many different looks you can create with this team. And who doesn’t love Natasha? She treats you like Loreal would, because you’re worth it. XO” Artist Lauren
Last year was a big year for my husband and I. We both had quit our long term jobs and started new careers with in months of each other. It was a little scary not sure what was going to happen and stress was high but determination was higher. Brian, my husband, sat down with me and simply told me “you got this” and smiled as I grabbed the paperwork. I submitted my company name as an LLC, received my tax ID number, started building a website, created a weddingwire account, and it kept going. It was a whirlwind of a month but my motivation was reward as I booked 4 weddings with in my first 30 days. Shock was an understatement to my reaction and I get chills thinking about how grateful I was for those first few clients brave enough to let me prove my worth.
The year ended with only 6 solid months of being open, 14 weddings, and I was pleased. You take your battles slowly and I vowed 2012 was going to be “the year” to shine. I set our goal modestly at 40 weddings saying it would still be a healthy increase and dove into the next year. Now I look at my company of 5 amazing artists and smile. We did it, we are here still, and we have impacted the industry enough that they know our name. Lets say we past my goal a while ago and I had to change it for good measure.

A year later, I am above and beyond proud of her and what she has achieved. Tasha has been so great to work for, and every single bride absolutely loves Maryland Wedding Makeup and are always satisfied. Tasha and I always have fun and have such great energy whether it’s working side by side on a wedding, sitting in her kitchen strategizing, or during a business meeting. Working with Maryland Wedding Makeup was an absolute pleasure for me as a photographer! Natasha was prompt in having the makeup done on everyone before the time that I requested for photos and everything looked gorgeous on camera! Photographed oh so well! Natasha is personable, fun and really delightful to be around. She would definitely make a great addition to any wedding day!–Dani Leigh Photography
Natasha is a breath of fresh air! I could not have picked a better makeup artist for my wedding day. I generally wear mascara, tinted moisturizer, and lip gloss so I was really concerned that I wouldn’t look like myself on my big day. Well, I looked like the best version of me! Her application was flawless, thoughtful, and long lasting! During the trial she really took the time to understand my vision and made suggestions that would enhance my features. She created a unified look for my bridesmaids that played off of their navy dresses perfectly. The fake eyelashes everyone wore really made our eyes pop during pictures. I have never seen my mother look prettier! Working with Natasha is like hanging out with your best friend. She is down to earth, approachable, talented, professional and delightful.–Blaire, Baltimore
I could not have been happier with [artist] Kerry from Maryland Wedding Makeup. From my trial to the day of, she delivered exactly what I wanted. She was very responsive and we clicked from the very beginning. She understood that I was looking for a very natural look and she made sure I was completely happy. I really appreciated the little things she did along the way, like asking how I was doing a few weeks before the wedding, to texting me “Happy Wedding Day” the morning of. I could tell that she was very concerned with making sure I was fully happy with my wedding makeup. Thank you so much for everything!–Laurie, Annapolis
